Skilled Migrant Category
The SMC requires applicants to have 6 points to submit an application. Points are awarded from Professional registration in New Zealand, education qualifications, high wage plus skilled work experience in New Zealand. SMC migration is the most common residence category for skilled workers.
Requirements:
- Be younger than 55 years of age at time of application
- Have 6 points
- Can include partner and any dependent children up to 24 years old.
- Must meet the minimum English requirements.
