Investor Plus Visa

Indefinite residence for successful applicants. Dependents included: spouse or partner, children up to 24 years old. Access to one of the most advanced education and healthcare systems in the world. Possibility to apply for permanent residency after 4 years and citizenship after 5 years, subject to language and residency requirements.

Requirements

  • Meet New Zealand health and character requirements
  • Satisfy a point-based application system
  • Satisfy English language requirements (IELTS 5)
  • Investment of NZD 15 million (or the weighted equivalent) made into acceptable investments for a minimum of 4 years
  • Evidence that the funds were earned or acquired lawfully
  • Transfer nominated funds within 6 months from the date of approval-in-principle
  • Spent at least 117 days in New Zealand during the 4-year investment period

Investments

Acceptable investments carry different weightings toward the NZD 15 million investment threshold. You can invest in a combination of these. Direct investments into a private business will receive the highest weighting — investing NZD 5 million into direct investment can meet the required amount.

  1. 1Satisfy our Eligibility Assessment
  2. 2Submit an Active Investor Plus application, together with several application fees, immigration levy and supporting documentation
  3. 3Upon approval-in-principal, transfer of the funds and investment in acceptable investments within 6 months (possible extension to 12 months)
  4. 4Submission of documents supporting that the funds come from the same source named in the application
