Employer Accreditation and Job Check

Employer accreditation is the first step to employing foreign workers. There are two streams, namely standard where you can hire up to 5 AEWV holders and high volume where there is no limitation on the amount of AEWV workers. There are several criteria to apply, with two of the main requirements being have not made a loss in the past 24 months or have made a profit in each month of the past 6 months.

The job check is a process many employers make mistakes on which leads to the job check application decline. We first review the job description and match with the most suitable ANZSCO code. We recommend a low traffic site for the employer to advertise on and provide an applicant summary sheet which the employer completes. After the 14 or 21 day advertising period we evaluate the applicants to see if they meet the job check requirements, if they do then the employer conducts an interview. Once all NZ applicants are deemed not suitable we lodge the job check. Recently INZ processing times are quick, generally 1–3 weeks.
